FAR WEST TEXAS – The El Paso Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with Workforce Solu – tions Borderplex, will host a series of FREE Entrepreneurial Development trainings for residents of Pre – sidio, Alpine and Fort Davis, Sierra Blanca, and Van Horn in the coming weeks.
Here’s the schedule:
PRESIDIO – Monday, Sept. 17, 4pm – 5:30pm at Presidio Activity Center, 1200 E. O’Reilly St.
FORT DAVIS – Tuesday, Sept. 18, 3pm – 4:30pm at Fort Davis Library, 100 Memorial Square
ALPINE – Tuesday, Sept. 18, 12pm – 3pm at Ward Center Plaza, 710 E. Holland
These Entrepreneurial trainings are for anyone who is interested in talking about the steps required to start a business. Our trainer will provide a basic overview on how you can potentially turn a hobby into a money-making venture! We’ll answer your questions on identify – ing what type of business to open, resources on how to write a busi – ness plan, where to obtain business financing, and how to market your new endeavor!
The training will be administered by the technical business advisors of the MBDA Business Center, a technical assistance center operated by the El Paso Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, who will be available to attendees after the training sessions to provide continued guidance and support.
“These trainings will promote re – gional economic growth and spur creativity and innovativeness,” said Terri Reed, Senior Vice President of Entrepreneurial Development at the El Paso Hispanic Chamber. “Our goal is to provide people with the tools they need to start a business if they have ever wanted to and to know it’s a viable option.”
