A RESIDENT AND THE DIRECTOR

A resident and the director of the Casa Hogar orphanage in Ojinaga, Chihuahua, Mexico accepted a check for $1,000 presented by Presidio County Justice of the Peace David Beebe last week. The funds were raised by the band the Marfa Municipal Alliance for Dead Country and Folk Singers at a recent gig at the Lost Horse Saloon in Marfa. The band plays covers of deceased performers and raises funds for nonprofits in need. Beebe sings and plays bass guitar in the band.

Un residente y la directora del orfanato Casa Hogar, en Ojinaga, Chihuahua, México, aceptaron la semana pasada un cheque de $1,000$ presentado por David Beebe, Juez de Paz del Condado de Presidio. Los fondos fueron recaudados por el grupo musical Marfa Municipal Alliance for Dead Country and Folk Singers durante un concierto reciente en el Lost Horse Saloon en Marfa. El grupo hace versiones de cantantes fallecidos y recauda fondos para las organizaciones sin ánimo de lucro que necesitan dinero. Beebe canta y toca el bajo en el grupo.
