BP nabs subject previously convicted of injury to a child

VALENTINE – U.S. Border Patrol agents assigned to the Marfa Station apprehend a subject that was previously convicted of injur y to a child, according to an agency news release.

On Friday, June 12th, Marfa agents apprehended a group of 10 illegal aliens near Valentine, Texas. After further investigation it was revealed that one of the individuals Rucdi Ariel Aldana-Madrid, a 39-year-old male from Honduras, was previously arrested for sexual assault of a child in March of 2016 in Galveston, Texas. In January of 2017, Aldana-Madrid was convicted of a lesser charge of injury of a child/elderly/disabled reckless bodily injury. Aldana-Madird was sentenced to 12 months confinement and deported in February of 2017.

Aldana-Madrid’s, previous order of removal will be reinstated. He will be charged with illegal reentry of a removed alien.

Chief Patrol Agent of Big Bend Sector Matthew Hudak said, “This arrest highlights the diligence of our agents and how their efforts help protect communities both near and away from the border. It also serves as a reminder that there are criminals attempting to enter our country by exploiting the current and overwhelming situation along our southern border.”
