FORT DAVIS – Texas Workforce Commission is hosting an informative, full-day conference regarding relevant state and federal employment laws that are essential to efficiently managing a business and employees. The conference starts at 7:30am on Tuesday, June 25, at Hotel Limpia in Fort Davis.
The Texas Business Conferences Employment Law Update is ideal for employers, HR professionals, business owners and anyone who manages employees. The state’s employment law attorneys will discuss state and federal legislation as well as recent legal developments and court decisions that could impact day-to-day operations.
Topics on the agenda include: Texas employment law and the basis of hiring; federal and Texas wage and hour laws; the unemployment claim and appeal process; independent contractors; and employee policy handbooks.
