Jose Maria Madrid, 80, of Presidio passed away at Big Bend Regional Medical Center in Alpine on Saturday, June 22, 2019.
Mr. Madrid was born in Ojinaga, Chihuahua, Mexico on April 5, 1934 to Angela and Cruz Madrid.
He was a self-employed carpenter.
He is survived by daughters Florentina Lara, Emma Copley, and Nereida Marquez; sons Cruz Madrid, Manuel Madrid, David Madrid, Sergio Madrid, Remigio Madrid and Noel Madrid; his brothers Francisco Madrid, Esteban Madrid, Primo Madrid; also 37 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and many nephews and nieces.
Rosary service was held the evening of Tuesday, June 25 at Santa Teresa Catholic Church in Presidio. Mass of Christian Burial was the morning of Wednesday, June 26 at the church, with burial in Desert Hills Cemetery.
