PRESIDIO — The Presidio Lady Devils volleyball team on Tuesday night won the district final for the first time in around 30 years, finishing with a perfect 10-0 record after winning against the Crane Gold Cranes.
The Lady Devils will head into a bi-district playoff game against Grape Creek in Fort Stockton on Tuesday, November 5. In a statement, Coach Mayra Lujan said she looked forward to seeing the team go “as far as we can.”
In the statement, Lujan said the players worked “really hard for a long time” and had “sacrificed and dedicated themselves” to the team — “making school history” in the process.
“Please congratulate these girls when you see them,” Lujan said.
