Joe Irby Skinner, age 69 of Fort Davis, went home to be with the Lord May 2 after a long battle with cancer. He was born April 13, 1951 in Austin, Texas to Everett and Ethel Skinner. Joe graduated from Robinson High School and received a degree in religion from Texas Wesleyan University. Joe served for many years with the National Park Service and Texas State Parks. He was an active member of First Baptist Church of Fort Davis. Joe is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, John and Viv Skinner of Alto, New Mexico, many friends and caregivers.
A memorial service is being planned for later this year at First Baptist Church of Fort Davis, Texas.
