Election day is Saturday, May 4 for City of Presidio. The polls will be open from 7am to 7pm at City Hall at 507 West O’Reilly Street. Presidio residents will be casting ballots for the uncontested mayoral race of incumbent John Ferguson, and will choose two city council members.
Irvin Olivas, Jeffrey Roberts, and Rogelio Zubia are running, and the two highest vote getters will earn seats on the Presidio City Council.
Presidio residents will also vote on whether the city will reorganize from a General Law Type A government charter to a “Home Rule” charter.
The Presidio Independent School District school board has four seats up for election, but candidates Ethel Barriga, Yvonne Spencer, Hugo Ramos, and Fidel M. Baeza are running uncontested, meaning they will automatically assume the seats.
