Elida Alvarez Garcia, 55, of Presidio, passed away Friday, May 10, 2019 in Odessa, Texas. The Rosary will be recited at 10am Saturday, May 18, at Santa Teresa Catholic Church in Presidio with a Memorial Mass at 11am. Father Mike Alcuino will officiate. Burial will follow at Loma Pelona Cemetery.
Elida was born in Presidio to Francisco Alvarez and Maria Molinar Alvarez on August 24, 1963. She attended Presidio ISD and graduated from Presidio High School.
She married Ricardo O. Garcia on December 27, 1994 in Presidio.
She worked many years for Presidio TV Cable and also worked 10 years as a clerk for the Texas Department of Human Services.
Elida is preceded in death by her father, Francisco Alvarez; and brothers, Arturo Alvarez and Esequiel Alvarez.
Elida is survived by her husband, Ricardo O. Garcia of Presidio; daughter Priscilla Hernandez (Javier Garcia) of Odessa, sons Rosendo Andres (Laura Lorena) Hernandez Jr. of Indianapolis, Indiana, Sean Anthony Hernandez of Indianapolis, Indiana; her mother, Maria Molinar Alvarez; sisters Maria Elena Garcia, Yolanda Dominguez of Odessa, Gloria Covos, Diana Lujan, Elidia Sanchez of Presidio; brothers Jose Luis Alvarez of San Antonio; and grandchildren Bryannah Moreno, Brisa Moreno of Odessa, Kristen Andrea Hernandez, and Lorena Venecia Hernandez of Indianapolis, Indiana.
