The Border Network for Human Rights, an El Paso advocacy group, upon learning that the United States Supreme Court had temporarily blocked a citizenship question from appearing on the 2020 Decennial Census:
“It is shameful that the Trump Administration attempted to use the Census as a means to tear our communities apart and to terrorize our families into hiding.
“This was a clear attack on immigrant communities, border communities, communities of color, and would harm us for a decade to come.”
