MARFA – Marfa Live Arts presents Lower Left Performance Collective and guests in Dance Ranch Marfa Performance at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, July 16, at the Crowley Theater.
Lower Left is celebrating its 18th year bringing international artists to West Texas. This performance is the culmination of the investigations by 16 dance artists hailing from across the US and Canada. Marfa residents, choreographer Nina Martin and composer Paul Hunt are joined by Lower Left Performance Collective Artists Margaret Paek, Leslie Scates, Julie Lebel, and composer Loren Kiyoshi Dempster.
Dance Ranch Marfa uses Ensemble Thinking and Rewire Movement Method to hone the ensemble for impromptu performance. The performance lasts for one hour, a reception follows the performance and there is no entrance fee.
