Former Alpine ISD teacher Eric Morales pled guilty Friday to having an improper relationship with a student, a second-degree felony. Morales was a music teacher at the elementary school and the assistant band director working with both middle school and high school students.
Morales will be listed as a sex offender for life and serve ten years probation. Additionally, he will lose his teaching certificate.Morales was arrested following an investigation by the Brewster County Sheriff’s Department. The department began investigating Morales after a parent turned over evidence to police in 2018.
