New PISD Superintendent meets with students

Presidio Independent School Superintendent, Ray Vasquez, invited students from Presidio High School to visit with him on October 9, 2018. Mr Vasquez and students met in the board room, during the lunch period, to get a feel of the school from the perspective of the students.  Students were chosen from grades 9-12. “I felt very good speaking to our superintendent about our school, how things are working around here, and our relationship with teachers,” said senior Amy Zubia. Superintendent Vasquez is new to the district and most students in the council were meeting him for the first time. The council is a way to get a feel of how the district is working and what needs to be done.  “The purpose of the council is to get the pulse and the climate of the high school from the students,” said PHS Counselor Rogelio Zubia.
