SOUTH BREWSTER COUNTY – The Boquillas Port of Entry, located within Big Bend National Park and providing access to the town of Boquillas, Coahuila, Mexico, as well as the protected areas of Maderas del Carmen, Ocampo, and CaƱon de Santa Elena, has started its winter hours of operation as of Thursday, November 1. Border crossers will be able to access the port between 8am and 5pm. OPEN: Wednesday through Sunday. CLOSED: Mondays and Tuesdays. Visitors can cross by foot (during low water) or by rowboat ferry (for a fee). This crossing does not accommodate vehicle crossing or commercial importation of products. Passports, passport cards, or other official travel documentation are required. The Boquillas Port of Entry is staffed by National Park Service rangers who can assist travelers with information about visiting the area.
