Zayman Julio Villegas and
Eliana Yvonne Portillo were
joined in matrimony on
Saturday, October 27 at the Bell Tower at Lajitas Golf Resort in Lajitas.
A dinner and dance followed the wedding ceremony at the Ocotillo at the Resort.
The evening before the wedding, guests were treated to a rehearsal dinner hosted by the bride’s aunt and uncle, Nora and Alex Escamilla. The rehearsal dinner was held at the Rock house also at the resort.
Eliana is the daughter of Joe Portillo and Dr. Laura Portillo of Presidio. The groom is the son of the late Hector Villegas and Evette Haggard of New Mexico. After a honeymoon to Puerto Morelos, Mexico the couple will make their home in
Midland where Zayman, a Texas Tech graduate, is employed as a petroleum engineer. Eliana,
graduated from Texas Tech University with a degree in Exercise and Sport Science and specialized in Cardiac Rehabilitation in December of 2015. She graduated from Howard College on November 15, 2018 with her nursing degree. She will be working at Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital as a Registered nurse.
Eliana is the granddaughter of Antonio Sanchez and the late Elva Sanchez and Jose “Pepito”and Amelia Portillo, all of Presidio.
